site.btaGlobal Finance Selects UniCredit Bulbank As Best Bank in Bulgaria in 2022

UniCredit Bulbank has been selected Best Bank in Bulgaria in 2022 by the Global Finance international magazine, the bank said Thursday. 

At the 29th edition of the annual best banks awards, the magazine distinguished banks that have paid attention to customer needs in difficult market conditions while achieving strong results and laying a solid foundation for future economic growth.

The winners were selected after in-depth consultations among the magazine's editors with corporate financial managers, bankers, banking consultants, and analysts from around the world.

"We are grateful for the Global Finance award because it is an honor for exceptional efforts, engagement, and professional devotion by the bank's whole team. Despite the turbulent conditions in which clients and society are made to work when they have a stable financial institution as their partner, they have the opportunity to handle the economic post-effects of the COVID-19 crisis and the challenging geopolitical environment, and to gain the confidence to make successful financial decisions", said UniCredit Bulbank CEO and Management Board Chair Tzvetanka Mintcheva. 

In 2021, UniCredit Bulbank maintained its market leadership in corporate and investment banking, holding one-fifth of the market, and achieved above-average profit margins in the Bulgarian market. 

In the light of the war in Ukraine, the team of Global Finance has decided not to award the best bank in countries directly involved in the current conflict. A full report of the selected banks will appear in the May print and digital editions of the magazine. The winners will receive their prizes at an official ceremony to be held during the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington in October.
