The minimum teacher salary will be set at 1,415 leva as of April 1 2022. This is an increase by 155 leva, or 12.3 per cent. The minimum salaries of other teaching staff in secondary school education, along the salaries of teachers at kindergartens and elementary schools will be increased by the same rate. This is envisaged in an annex to the current collective bargaining agreement in the system of preschool and school education, which was signed on Monday by Education Minister Nikolai Denkov and the social partners in secondary education, the Education Ministry said.

Remuneration for classes over the minimum teaching hours will be increased by 10 per cent, varying between 6.93 leva and 9.34 leva per hour.
