A regular IMF staff visit to Bulgaria has kicked off. The introductory meeting was hosted by Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds and Finance Minister Assen Vassilev, the Finance Ministry said on Wednesday.

The IMF team, headed by Jean-Francois Dauphin, will hold consultations and meetings until April 15 for the annual review of the Bulgarian economy, also known as Article IV consultations.

The mission will discuss trends and risks with regard to the inflation processes, the war in Ukraine, competitiveness and labour market developments, and the key priorities of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, among other matters.
