Bulgaria expects to get its Road Map for accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said during his meeting in Delphi on Saturday with OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann, the Government's press service in Sofia reported.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister voiced hope that there will be positive progress concerning Bulgaria's OECD accession in the coming months. He noted that Bulgaria highly values the decision made by OECD in January to start discussions with this country about its accession and thanked Cormann for his active and consistent position in that regard.
Petkov invited the OECD Secretary-General to visit Bulgaria as soon as possible, when the steps Bulgaria has to take next on its way to joining the Organisation can be discussed in more detail. Kiril Petkov also noted that deepening Bulgaria's cooperation with OECD will significantly benefit a number of key reforms in this country, as well as help reinforce the Organisation's regional and global scope.
