InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA) has a new executive director, the Innovation and Growth Ministry said Monday. Bogdan Bogdanov was appointed by an order of Innovation and Growth Minister Daniel Lorer, replacing Stamen Yanev.
Bogdanov has a bachelor’s degree in finance at Sofia's VUZF University. Bogdanov also studied at the West Chester University in the United States. He earned his master's degree in European Business and Finance at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia and the Nottingham Trent University in Great Britain. He is a business development expert with more than 10 years of experience. He has worked with foreign companies focusing on manufacturing products with developmental qualities and high added value.
"Investments and innovation are essential to the Government's term. We aim to attract high-tech investments that will create high added value to society as a whole. IBA needs new energy and a proactive strategy to attract foreign investments", Lorer said.
The former IBA executive director, Yanev, becomes an investment adviser in Lorer's political cabinet.
