The Ministry of Finance is preparing to issue international debt, and it will probably happen in two tranches. The banks already made their offers, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev during question time with the Budget and Finance Committee in Parliament.

Until then, the Ministry does not intend to enter the domestic debt market. The domestic financial market has the resources to take on more debt, but banks keep their money to enter the foreign market, because there they can get more profitability, Vassilev added. The risks to the debt market are related to the war in Ukraine, because for a month and a half no one has been issuing debt except Croatia, the Deputy PM said.
