site.btaProducer Prices in Agriculture Up 25.6% in Q1 of 2022, Y/Y

The producer price index in agriculture increased by 25.6% in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the like period of 2021, show data released by the National Statistical Institute on Friday. 

The price index of crop output went up by 31.2% and the animal output increased by 13.2%. Compared to the previous year, the prices of agricultural products rose by 21.4%, up by 25.9% in crop output and by 11.2% in animal output.

Compared to the first quarter of 2021, the prices of live animals increased by 7.9% and the prices of animal products, by 17.6%.  In the animal output, the prices of the animals went up by 6.8% and of animal product output, by 14.9% year-on-year.
