A package of 14 anti-inflation measures totalling BGN 2 billion will be proposed at tomorrow's coalition leadership council, said Continue the Change floor leader Andrey Gurov during a press conference in the National Assembly on Monday.
Gurov added that the measures were approved after a joint meeting of the social, energy and budget committees in Parliament. He assured that the two billion is provided by additional budget revenues and can be used without violating the budget framework.
According to Gurov, the goal is to help pensioners and businesses.
The CC floor leader assured that the measures have already been evaluated by the Ministry of Finance and will be further considered by the coalition leadership council.
According to Gurov, the plan is to increase pensions from July 1, increasing the lowest pension from BGN 370 to BGN 450, adjusting higher pensions accordingly, raising the maximum insurance income to BGN 3,400, increasing the tax relief from BGN 450 to BGN 600 for one child and from BGN 900 to BGN 1,200 for two children with working parents.
Financial compensation of end users of fuels is also envisaged. The CC also proposes a reduction in heating VAT from 20 to 9% as of 1 July.
