BTA’s new structure for internship programmes organized a seminar on the presence of business in the media. The event took place on Thursday at BTA's national press club in Sofia. The first initiative of the internship structure was a seminar on the topic of open science in the media.

BTA Director General Kiril Valchev said that the agency has created a platform where business information is not divided into Bulgarian and global, pointing out that BTA's ethical standards and professional rules have been amended to allow the mentioning of company names, including in the field of culture.

We have the right to talk about business by law, despite claims that this can be considered advertising, said Georgi Lozanov, Director of the Directorate for Knowledge and Culture "LIK" on the topic of promoting business in society through traditional and modern means of communication. According to him, business is hardly present in the news, due to the basic characteristic of journalism to focus on problems instead of success stories and environments of prosperity and well-being.

The event was also held online on Zoom, where it was attended by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Association for Modern Trade, and the Confederation of Bulgarian Tourism Business.
