site.btaKarimanski: Euro Adoption Plan Back on Council of Ministers' Agenda
The national plan for the adoption of the euro in Bulgaria is again on the Council of Ministers's agenda, despite the lack of analysis, stated during a briefing in Parliament Lubomir Karimanski, chairman of the Parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee and MP from There Is Such a People.
Karimanski said the item was on the agenda of the Council of Ministers, despite agreements between the two expert coalition councils to make a preliminary analysis of the benefits of the euro, the risks and the date of its introduction on January 1, 2024.
Karimanski pointed out that the Draft National Plan for the Introduction of the Euro in Bulgaria in question is the same one that has been known to the public since June 2021. According to him, there are no changes in it, despite the changed situation. Karimanski said that a discussion on the adoption of the euro would take place on Tuesday, May 31, and that teachers, employers, trade unionists and all stakeholders were invited to participate.
