site.bta Business Climate Worsens in Industry, Construction, Retail Trade in May
In May 2022, the total business climate indicator dropped by 0.7 percentage points from April, with lower indicators registered in industry, construction, and retail trade, the National Statistical Institute said on Monday.
The composite indicator "business climate in industry" lost 0.8 percentage points due to the industrial entrepreneurs' less favourable assessments and expectations for the business situation in the next six months.
The composite indicator "business climate in construction" fell by 3.6 percentage points, reflecting the construction entrepreneurs' more reserved assessments of the current business situation of the enterprises.
The composite indicator "business climate in the retail trade" fell by 2.2 percentage points due to the more reserved assessments for the business in the next six months.
The composite indicator "business climate in the service sector" rose by 4.3 percentage points on the back of the managers' positive assessments and expectations regarding the current and future business situation of the enterprises.
