site.btaThree Seas Conference in Sofia Looks at Priorities of Latvian Presidency and Initiative’s Value for Bulgaria
A conference titled Three Seas: Innovations and Energy Security took place in Sofia Wednesday. The participants discussed the priorities of Latvia as it prepares to host the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) Summit and Business Forum as well as the future and added value of the initiative for Bulgaria.
Among the speakers were Andris Teikmanis, Head of Chancery in the Latvian President’s Office, Dilyana Slavova, Foreign Policy Advisor to the Bulgarian President, and Ilija Lingorski, Chief Economist at the Bulgarian Development Bank.
3SI brings together 12 countries from the Adriatic, Baltic and Black Sea regions and seeks to step up development by strengthening transport, energy and digital connectivity. The partners of the initiative are the US, Germany and the European Commission.
Bulgaria hosted the initiative in 2021.
The Wednesday conference was organized by the Euro-Atlantic Security Centre.
