site.btaAdministrative Services Can Now Be Paid for with Bank Cards Issued Abroad

The virtual POS terminal of the Ministry of e-Government now accepts cards issued abroad, the Minister of e-Government Bozhidar Bozhanov wrote in a post on Facebook. He and the Finance Minister Assen Vassilev signed a joint letter to all administrations to do the same for physical devices.

Minister Bozhanov also pointed out that this will solve one of the problems for which his ministry receives many signals from citizens, namely the need to allow payment for administrative services with bank cards issued abroad.

"This will make it easier for Bulgarians abroad to use administrative services, as well as those who use innovative solutions for card payments," said Minister Bozhanov.

The e-Government Minister pointed out that while his ministry is preparing bigger reforms and legislative amendments, they take time to solve smaller problems that are cause of frustration to citizens as well.
