In April 2022 the production index of Bulgaria's construction sector, calculated on the basis of seasonally adjusted preliminary data, was 0.6% below the level of March 2022, the National Statistical Institute reported on Friday.

Calendar adjusted data for April 2022 showed a decrease of 2.4% in construction production from April 2021.

In April 2022, the construction production index, calculated from seasonally adjusted data, fell from March by 0.9% for building construction and by 0.3% for civil engineering.

Year on year, production in construction, calculated from calendar adjusted data, declined in April 2022 by 4.1% in civil engineering and by 1.0% in building construction.
