site.btaOver 2 Mln Cartons for Counterfeit Cigarette Packaging Seized at Danube Bridge 2

A total of 2,112,000 paperboard cartons for packaging counterfeit cigarettes have been seized by customs officials at the Danube Bridge Vidin-Calafat border control checkpoint. The cartons were found on June 11 during a thorough check of a truck supposed to be transporting 22,187 kg of paper products for Germany.

The seized cartons have the logo of Marlboro Red and Chesterfield Red.

The customs officials seized the goods over suspected intellectual property infringement. The trademark owners will be informed.
