Customs officers seized nearly 2.5 kg of cannabis, concealed in the compartments of a heavy-duty truck, at the Danube Bridge 2 Vidin border crossing on June 27, the Customs Agency said.

The truck was transporting cosmetic goods from the Netherlands to Turkey.

The total worth is nearly 10,000 leva.

Pretrial proceedings have been opened into the case. The Turkish driver has been detained for 72 hours and the prosecution will demand that he is placed under permanent custody.
