site.btaState Fund Agriculture: Bulgarian Vets Received over BGN 9.2 Mln for Immunoprophylactic Activities

In the first five months of 2022, State Fund Agriculture (SFA) distributed BGN 9,280,677 for immunoprophylactic activities in animals, covering up to 100% of the eligible costs for services related to the implementation of the measures of the State Preventive Programme and the Livestock Disease Surveillance and Eradication Programmes. The aid is provided in the form of subsidised services, the SFA said on its website.     

The funds are distributed as follows: immunoprophylactic activities - BGN 2,229,108, clinical trials – BGN 4,972,812, taking and sending samples for laboratory tests – BGN 1,709,172, equidae identification – BGN 352, recording identification data in VetIS – BGN 369,233.

The voted funds are part of the total financial resources under the state aid scheme to compensate farmers for the costs of implementing measures under the two programmes. The budget under the 2022 scheme endorsed by a decision of the SFA Board is BGN 17 million.
