Some 24,910 Bulgarians died in the second quarter of 2022, according to preliminary data released by the National Statistical Institute on Monday. This means a mortality coefficient rate of 14.6 per mill.

Mortality is 15.8 per mill among men and 13.6 per mill among women.

The rate has dropped by 28% (9,702 people) year-over-year.
