The Civil Aviation Administration Directorate General has permitted aircraft to overfly locations in Bulgaria and take aerial pictures to update Google's database, the Transport and Communications Ministry said here on Thursday.
The flights are expected to start on July 23 and continue until September 30. The aircraft will overfly Sofia, Plovdiv, Southern Bulgaria, and Varna, on the Black Sea. The aircraft will fly at an altitude over 1000 m and may overfly a location several times.
The last such aerial photography flights in Bulgaria were performed in 2016.
