The Bulgarian side is ready to provide attractive airport fees and suitable time slots for take-off and landing of air carriers providing regular flights between Sofia and Riyadh, and the seaside city of Varna and Dammam, Deputy Transport and Communications Minister Vladimir Vurbanov said at a meeting here on Thursday with the Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Naif bin Asai.
To start operating the air service, the operators need to submit the necessary documentation to the aviation authorities of the other country.
Vurbanov extended an invitation to Saudi Arabia's Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, to pay a visit to Bulgaria, during which the sides are to sign the air service agreement.
The participants in Thursday's meeting said that Saudi Arabia is a very important partner of Bulgaria in the Middle East, while Bulgaria plays a key regional role in Europe for Saudi Arabia.
