site.btaPM Petkov: BGN 418 Mln to Fund Projects of 222 Municipalities

Some 222 municipalities will have their projects funded, said outgoing Prime Minister Kiril Petkov during a briefing of the Council of Ministers on Thursday. "All mayors will be able to have their important projects realized," Petkov stated.

The budget is BGN 418 million, and the projects will reach more than 6 million people, according to outgoing Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Grozdan Karadjov. This sees a smaller budget covering a higher number of municipalities compared to Petkov's statement from July 20.

Karadjov added that experts with his ministry will continue to cooperate with the National Association of the Municipalities in Republic of Bulgaria in order to prepare a list of all the approved projects.

The final list of all municipalities will be announced by the end of Thursday. Starting on Monday, the municipalities will be able to start concluding contracts.
