Parliament voted in principle to streamline the administrative procedures involved in projects for renewable energy sources for electricity, heating and cooling for own use. The revisions to the Spatial Development Act need to be passed on second reading to become effective and this will likely have to be done by the next Parliament as this one is nearing the end of its life.
The streamlined procedure applies for projects for up to 10.8 KW.
The bill of amendment was proposed by Vladislav Panev (Democratic Bulgaria) and a group of MPs.
Another bill of amendments to this law – proposed by Snezhanka Trojanska (There Is Such a People) and a group of MPs – provides for reducing the administrative burden, relieving chief architects of non-essential functions and broadening the responsibilities for designers and construction supervision officers.
