site.btaSocialist Leader: Bulgaria Needs to Negotiate Natural Gas Supply Resumption with Gazprom
Tension is artificially created in the energy field. Bulgaria does not need a taskforce, we need quick actions to resume negotiations with Gazprom, Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Korneliya Ninova told bTV on Thursday. She was apparently referring to the taskforce, set up a day earlier by caretaker Prime Minister Galab Donev to tackle the energy crisis.
BSP can offer a solution and has been doing so since April - negotiations with Gazprom for the renewal of natural gas supplies and signing a new long-term contract, Ninova said.
Commenting the coalition with Continue the Change, in which the Socialists were part until earlier this week, Ninova said that they worked well together, but also had friction. "Maybe we would coalesce once again, because the main line is intolerance for theft," the BSP leader said.
