site.btaEnAppSys: Bulgaria Is Europe's Third Largest Net Exporter of Power

Bulgaria was the third largest net exporter of power in Europe with 6.6TWh, a relatively small increase from its net flows in the previous half year, AFP reported on Thursday, quoting EnAppSys energy data analyst. Sweden overtook France as the biggest net exporter of power in Europe with total net exports of 16TWh during the first half of this year, as France shifted from a net exporter to a net importer of energy. The second largest net exporter across the period was Germany with 15.4TWh.

Italy remained the biggest net importer during the first six months of 2022, sourcing 22TWh from outside of the country, of which 9.6TWh came from Switzerland and 6.7TWh from France.
