site.btaLabour Minister Approves Order to Provide BGN 5.7 Mln Under National Employment Action Plan
Deputy Prime Minister and caretaker Minister of Labour and Social Policy Lazar Lazarov approved an order to provide nearly 5.7 million leva under the National Employment Action Plan, Lazarov's Ministry said on Thursday.
Additional funds will be directed to programmes and measures for the employment and training of people from vulnerable groups on the labour market. The funds will enable 3,097 unemployed to start working and 257 people to be involved in training.
The reallocation of financial resources was approved today at a meeting of the National Employment Promotion Council. The majority of the funds will be targeted at young people, the long-term unemployed, people with disabilities, the pre-retirement unemployed, and people entitled to temporary protection.
The provision will bring the total number of people who will enter employment under the programmes and measures of the National Employment Action Plan in 2022 to 25 051. Those enrolled in training will reach 10,743 people.
