site.btaPublic Supplier Proposes Increasing Natgas Price by Another 6% in September

Bulgargaz proposes increasing the price of natural gas by another 5.95% in September after the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) approved a 60.01% spike for August. The price at which Bulgargaz proposes to sell natural gas to end-suppliers of gas and to heating companies in September is BGN 315.61 per MWh (exclusive of access, transmission, excise duty and VAT charges). This transpires from a letter from the public supplier to the EWRC.

A Bulgargaz forecast puts the projected price of natural gas in October at BGN 269.29 per MWh (exclusive of access, transmission, excise duty and VAT charges). The forecast is based on expected levels of price components and on the condition that the Greece-Bulgaria natural gas interconnector goes into operation before October 1.
