In July, inflation in Bulgaria was 1.1% compared to June 2022 and 17.3% compared to July 2021, the National Statistical Institute said Tuesday. The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (July 2022 compared to December 2021) was 11.3%.

The average annual inflation in the last 12 months (August 2021 - July 2022) compared to the previous 12 months (August 2020 - July 2021) was 10.5%.

In June, inflation in Bulgaria was 0.9% compared to May 2022. It reached 10.1% since the start of the year (June 2022 compared to December 2021) and 16.9% compared to June 2021. The average annual inflation for the period from July 2021 to June 2022 compared to the previous 12 months (July 2020 – June 2021) was 9.3%

In May, inflation in Bulgaria was 1.2% month-on-month. It added up to an inflation of 9.1% since the start of 2022 (May 2022 compared to December 2021) and 15.6% year-on-year. The average annual inflation for the period from June 2021 to May 2022 compared to the same time a year earlier was 8.1%.
