Sofia City Hall intends to reduce heating and electricity consumption in the municipal administrative buildings this winter, Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova said here Tuesday. She took questions from reporters during an inspection of the lakes in the Sofia suburb of Simeonovo.

A specific plan how to do this is being elaborated, Fandakova explained. 

She expressed hope that a similar reduction will not be necessary in schools, kindergartens, and hospitals. “Children have suffered enough while studying during the pandemic, which has had a significant and long-term impact on them,” Fandakova told reporters.
