site.btaState-owned Gas Distribution Company Bulgargaz Has New Head
The Bulgarian Energy Holding Tuesday has suggested a new Board of Directors of gas distribution company Bulgargaz, headed by Deniza Slateva, the Energy Ministry told BTA.
A procedure is underway for recording the changes in Bulgargaz's management in the Commercial Register.
Slateva replaces hitherto Bulgargaz executive director Lyudmil Yotsov who was appointed in the company by the previous government of prime minister Kiril Petkov.
Furthermore, the following members of Bulgargaz's Board of Directors are relieved of their posts: Angela Slavova, Anton Adamov, and Stefan Voinov. They are replaced by Dimiter Spassov, Tatyana Petrova, and Vesselin Sinabov.
Slateva was deputy prime minister in charge of the Bulgarian EU Presidency in the first caretaker cabinet appointed by President Rumen Radev in 2017, headed by prime minister Ognyan Gerdjikov. In 2008-2009 she was the chef de cabinet of the deputy prime minister for EU funds management Meglena Ploughchieva. From 2009 to 2013 Slateva was a member of the European Parliament. She was then elected an MP in the 42nd National Assembly on the ticket of the Bulgarian Socialist Party.
