site.btaCRC to Reduce Authorizations for Use for Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting in the 26 GHz Band
The Communications Regulations Commission (CRC) announced Monday its intention to reduce the number of issued authorizations for use of an individually assigned scarce resource for terrestrial broadcasting in the 26 GHz band, the CRC said on its website.
The band shall be used for a digital communications network of national coverage. Up to 10 authorizations shall be issued, in the 200 MHz band each.
The maximum number of authorizations for which one enterprise may apply is 3 (maximum 600 MHz).
Applications for authorization to use the band may be submitted to CRC by September 29.
