Nearly 50 companies from Bulgaria, Greece, Ukraine, and Serbia are taking part in the 30th edition of the international fair, titled "Agriculture and Everything About It", which opened here on Wednesday.

Agriculture in Bulgaria and globally is facing serious challenges, said caretaker Deputy Agriculture Minister Georgi Sabev at the opening of the agro forum. He added that such events, with the presence of farmers, researchers and traders, are extremely important for searching and finding solutions to the problems in the agricultural sector. Sabev pointed out that the Agriculture Ministry supports agribusiness in overcoming the challenges.

The event, organized by the company "Dobrich Fair", offers visitors large and small-sized agricultural machinery, equipment and machinery for animal husbandry, vehicles, agrodrones, bio fertilizers, plant protection products and others. The Dobrudzha Agricultural Institute (DAI) presents its latest varieties and hybrids. DAI Director Iliya Iliev said that next year the institute will apply for the registration of Dobrudzha beans as a geographical trademark, and Minister Sabev promised support from the Agriculture Ministry. 

The accompanying programme of the fair includes an exhibition titled "The Way of Bread" presenting more than 100 items from the Dobrudzha daily life - from grain sowing to bread kneading. Part of the exhibition's programme is also the conference on agricultural practices for the benefit of the climate and the environment.

The agricultural fair will run until September 3.
