site.btaUPDATED Minister of Innovation and Growth Pulev Comments on His Ministry's Efforts

Caretaker Minister of Innovation and Growth Alexander Pulev urged people in a bTV interview to look at things more positively when it comes to the economic situation. "We hear about galloping inflation, crises in various segments, an energy crisis. Our Ministry gives a breath of fresh air to small and medium-sized enterprises, the most vulnerable segment of the Bulgarian economy," commented Pulev.

The Ministry of Innovation and Growth will provide BGN 735 million for businesses, the most vulnerable segment, by the end of this year. The majority of this resource, BGN 600 million, comes under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, Minister Pulev pointed out. "I urge business to take advantage," he stressed, adding: "We have an open procedure for this plan - BGN 260 million for technological modernization". The deadline for the procedure is September 21.

Pulev said that his Ministry is working hard to open another procedure under the plan for about BGN 30 million, which will be available next month. "The Ministry of Innovation and Growth is doing everything possible, together with Deputy Prime Minister Pekanov, to ensure the sustainability of the funds," commented Alexander Pulev.

Later on Saturday, Pulev visited the southern city of Plovdiv to present opportunities for applying for funding under the plan to business representatives.

In Plovdiv, the Minister also commented on the floods in the municipality of Karlovo (Plovdiv Region), saying that the State is fully mobilized to help the locals. In his words, all institutions are working round the clock to contain the damages and ‘will do their job’.
