In July 2022, preliminary data showed a drop by 0.5% in construction production in Bulgaria compared to the same month of 2021 and by 1.1% compared to July 2021, the National Statistical Institute reported on Friday.

In July 2022, the index of production in the construction sector, calculated on the basis of seasonally adjusted data, was below the level in June of 2022. The production of both civil engineering and building construction shrank, by 0.7% and 0.4%, respectively.

In July 2022, the construction production index, calculated from seasonally adjusted data, was lower than in the like month of 2021. The production index of civil engineering decreased by 3.1%, while the production of building construction went up by 0.5%.
