site.btaInnovation Minister, Academy of Sciences President Discuss Research-Business Cooperation

Meeting on Tuesday, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) President Julian Revalski and caretaker Innovation and Growth Minister Alexander Pulev discussed partnership between Bulgarian researchers and the business community, BAS said in a press release.

Scientists will be enabled to implement their research developments in cooperation with Bulgarian companies. The teamwork can be supported and financed under programmes of Pulev's Ministry for which some BGN 2 billion have been allocated, it transpired at the meeting.

The BAS President and the Minister also discussed opportunities for researchers and innovative enterprises to cooperate with foreign partners in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics.

BAS Vice President Stefan Hadjitodorov familiarized Pulev with the latest applied-science developments, innovations, patents and utility models of the Academy's staff. 

The results of two Science for Business forums, which the Academy organized jointly with the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, were presented at the meeting.
