site.btaFinance Ministry Issues 5.5-year Government Securities at 4.13% Weighted Average Yield

The Finance Ministry said here on Tuesday that it has opened a new issue of 5.5-year lev-denominated government securities at an interest rate of 3.2%.

Government securities worth BGN 149.95 million were auctioned off at a weighted average yield of 4.13%, the Ministry said.

The subscribed amount totaled BGN 203.85, which corresponds to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.02. The recorded spread to the analogous German Bunds is 223 basis points. Banks acquired the biggest amount of government securities at the auction - 81.3%, followed by pension funds - 9.3%, insurance companies - 6.7%, guarantee funds - 2% and investment intermediaries - 0.7%.
