site.btaWholesale Food Prices in Bulgaria Continue Upward Trend 

The wholesale food market price index (MPI) has increased by 1.6% cent over the past week, reaching 2.009 points, the State Commission for Commodity Exchanges and Wholesale Markets reported. 

The base level of the index was set in 2005 at 1.000 points.

The MPI has not undergone any drastic fluctuations over the past three months, ranging between 2.029 and 2.099 points. However, a slight but lasting increase of close to 3.5% has been observed over the summer. The MPI has increased by close to 29% annually.
