site.btaBGN 1.5 Mln-Plus Paid in September under Maritime and Fisheries Programme 2014-2020

The State Fund Agriculture paid BGN 1,540,969.94 to beneficiaries under the Maritime and Fisheries Operational Programme 2014-2020 in September 2022, the Fund said on Friday.

Of these, BGN 674,411.09 were disbursed to a beneficiary for the processing of fishery and aquaculture products, the investment covering the construction of a new production facility and the installation of a refrigeration plant. The improvements will create 19 new jobs.

Nine fishing groups received BGN 419,549.37 to support the implementation of the main objectives and priorities of the operational programme. Under the measure to raise awareness of the state of the marine environment, BGN 234,000 were provided for a project on Lake Varna. Samokov Municipality received BGN 190,760 for three projects for the renovation of playground spaces in three villages. State Fund Agriculture transferred BGN 22,249.48 as compensation to a beneficiary for loss of income as a result of aquaculture development activities linked to the Natura 2000 network.
