Caretaker Economy Minister Nikola Stoyanov said in a radio broadcast on Sunday that he expects gas prices to decrease further in November. Stoaynov said the new Parliament will have to make equal the electricity and gas compensations to the business so that no one is favoured more than the other. The Minister expects the need for state subsidies for gas to disappear as he expects lasting and stable levels of gas prices that will satisfy the business. He also said that the quantities of gas for the winter have been ensured.
Stoyanov said the caretaker government is working systematically whereby Bulgaria does not just avert a recession but be ready for an economic leap.
In his view, the inflation in this country has already peaked. "Thanks to the efforts to curb the prices of fuels, power and gas, I do not expect further increases," Stoyanov said.
