site.btaBulgarian, Uruguayan Commerce Chambers Sign Cooperation Agreement

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) signed a cooperation agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Services of Uruguay (CCSUY), the BCCI reported on its website on Monday. The document was signed during an online meeting between BCCI chair Tsvetan Simeonov and CCSUY president Julio Lestido.

The meeting was also attended by Bulgaria's Ambassador to Argentina, accredited to Uruguay, Stoyan Mihaylov, who called the agreement "an instrument to establish and expand cooperation". There is a wide potential for partnership between Bulgarian and Uruguay, considering the two countries' economies and objectives.

Lestido drew attention to the lack of in-depth information on business opportunities due to the remoteness of the two countries and the absence of communication at the level of chambers of commerce so far. The attending parties agreed to hold a series of information events to fill the information gap and encourage bilateral exchange.
