site.btaFinance Ministry Issues 10.5-year Government Securities at 4.47% Weighted Average Yield

The Finance Ministry Monday reopened a new issue of 10.5-year lev-denominated government securities, maturing on July 27, 2026. 

Government securities worth BGN 200 million were auctioned off at a weighted average yield of 4.47%, the Ministry said.

The subscribed amount totaled BGN 230.35 million, corresponding to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.15. The recorded spread to the analogous German Bunds is 263 basis points. Banks acquired the biggest amount of government securities at the auction - 80%, followed by insurance companies - 14.5%, pension funds - 4.5%, and guarantee funds - 1%.
