site.btaBulgaria Enhances Strategic Dialogue with UAE, Innovation Minister Says

Caretaker Innovation and Growth Minister Alexander Pulev discussed investment opportunities with representatives of the Strategic Development Fund, one of the leading United Arab Emirates (UAE) private equity investment funds, and Bulgarian high-tech start-ups here on Friday, his Ministry said in a press release. 

The meeting was a continuation of the initiative for strategic partnership with funds from key countries to invest in Bulgaria. It comes as a result of the high-level meetings held during Pulev's visit to UAE in September. Pulev was in the UAE as part of a delegation led by President Rumen Radev. 

During his discussion with representatives of Bulgarian start-up companies, Pulev presented the various financial instruments supporting the development of Bulgaria's business environment.

"Our partners from the UAE confirmed their investment interests and intentions and appreciated our specialists' talents and expertise", he said on Friday.

The representatives of the start-up companies welcomed the initiative and pointed out that it matches the market's needs.

The meeting also discussed optimization measures for the Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria (Fund of Funds).
