site.btaFinance Ministry Reopens Issue of 5.5-year Government Securities at 5.65% Weighted Average Yield

The Finance Ministry Monday reopened an issue of 5.5-year BGN-denominated government securities, maturing on March 28, 2028.

Government securities worth BGN 180.55 million were auctioned off at a weighted average yield of 5.65%, the Ministry said.

The subscribed amount totaled BGN 208.20 million, corresponding to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.04. The spread reported as against the analogous German Bunds is 370 basis points. Banks acquired the largest amount of government securities at the auction with 59.1%, followed by insurance companies (30.7%),pension funds (9.4%), guarantee funds (0.7%) and other investors (0.1%)
