site.btaOn Bulgarian Builders' Professional Holiday, Construction Chamber Looks Back at 2022 Achievements

On the occasion of the professional holiday of Bulgarian builders, October 26, and this year's 15th anniversary of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber (BCC), the BCC leadership said in an address that 2023 will once again not be easy for the economy. The construction branch will have to mobilize for the successful completion of the projects from the ending programming period and start work on the long-awaited actual start of the new period, the address reads.

Looking back at 2022, the BCC leadership lists as the branch's biggest success the adoption of methods for indexation of construction contracts, in the elaboration of which the BCC was an active participant. Another big success was the European Commission's approval of the European Digital Innovation Hub in the construction sector, initiated and co-founded by the BCC. Members of the BCC helped the flood-hit villages in the Karlovo area (Central Bulgaria) in September.

"The Bulgarian Construction Chamber continued to implement the set priorities related to proposals for legislative changes concerning the construction and investment process. We led a beneficial dialogue with the government, institutions, employer's organizations, trade unions and in the Consultative Council of Branch Chambers in Construction," the address reads.

The professional holiday of Bulgarian builders has been marked since 1996 on December 26, when the Bulgarian Orthodox Church celebrates the Feast of St Demetrios the Myrrh-Streamer.
