site.btaChange in Bulgargaz's Strategy Yields Results – Energy Minister 

The additional discount for natural gas has been achieved thanks to the competitive delivery procedures organized by Bulgargaz, Bulgarian caretaker Energy Minister Rossen Hristov told a news briefing on Friday. He specified that the price has been halved from its level in September. Hristov noted that the change of Bulgargaz's strategy is working.

The Minister recalled that earlier on Friday the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission cut the projected gas delivery price to BGN 130/MWh. This is a substantial decrease compared to the already reduced projected price of BGN 166/MWh, which the company applied for earlier this month.

"If we had carried on the old strategy of direct negotiations and soliciting offers by emails, we would have paid BGN 200 million more in November for the same quantity of gas that we are now using," Hristov commented. 

Bulgargaz Executive Director Deniza Slateva added that all this confirms that the new strategy adopted by the new management after it took over is the right one.
