site.btaTransport Minister Aleksiev to Visit Turkiye on November 1

Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policies and Minister of Transport and Communications Hristo Aleksiev pays a visit to Turkiye on November 1 where he is to meet Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu, Aleksiev's Ministry said in a press release on Monday.

Aleksiev and Karaismailoglu will discuss ways to shorten the time for crossing the border between the two neighbours by road and by rail, opportunities to build a new railway crossing facility from Yambol, Lessovo, and on to Turkiye. On the agenda of the talks is also the question of the development of the ro-ro line between the seaside city of Burgas in Bulgaria and Karasu in Turkiye, and updating the agreement between the two countries on the work in the rail border crossing Svilengrad-Kapikule signed in January 2006. 

An inspection will be performed of the road and rail crossings between Kapitan Andreevo and Kapikule, followed by a briefing at the Kapikule facility in Turkiye.
