The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) has set the natural gas price for November at BGN 123.01 per MWh. This is a decrease of over 47% from the BGN 233.36 at which the Bulgargaz public supplier sold natural gas in October.
The considerably lower price for November is the result of the competitive pricing conditions under the long-term agreement for gas supply from Azerbaijan, the energy regulator said.
EWRC Chairman Ivan Ivanov commented that thanks to the natural gas' depreciation, the heating prices will not have to be increased as of January 1, 2023.
