site.btaLeading Companies Returned to Bulgarian Market after Transparent Procedures for Natgas Delivery Introduced – Energy Minister
The natural gas price for November is better than the forecast made some time ago, Energy Minister Rossen Hristov said at a briefing in Kozloduy on Tuesday. This is due to the launch of the interconnector for Azeri gas and the fact that the procedures for the supply of natural gas to Bulgaria were made transparent, he added.
The clear and guaranteed rules that the current team has put in place have brought companies that had previously withdrawn back to the Bulgarian market. As a result, the price is falling and supplies for November have already been secured, the Minister said. According to him, it is possible that there will be a slight price increase upwards for the active heating season of December through January, but "we will be far away from the prices for September".
The Chiren gas storage facility is 90% full and the process is continuing at good rates, Hristov said.
