Bulgarian companies in the sectors of agriculture and food industry, among others, will have the opportunity to create new partnerships with enterprises from Africa and Europe at a business forum in Tunisia. This transpired at a meeting between Bulgarian Deputy Agriculture Minister Georgi Sabev and Tunisian Confederation of Citizen Enterprises (CONECT International) President Foued Gueddich, who is paying a visit to Bulgaria, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food said in a press release Wednesday.

CONECT International is one of the biggest Tunisian employer structures with over 250 member organizations. It works for the development and support of the international activity of SMEs and plans a business forum in late 2023 to give countries in Europe and Africa the opportunity to make new contacts.

It also transpired during the meeting between Sabev and Gueddich that Tunisia is interested in importing Bulgarian tomato concentrate and other products of the Bulgarian food industry. Bulgarian products will be on display at an exhibition stall within the Francophonie Summit to be hosted by Tunisia on November 20 and 21.

Deputy Minister Sabev also met with the Ambassador of New Zealand accredited to Bulgaria, Diana Reaich. They discussed the bilateral ties. Sabev said Bulgarian producers of essential oils and rose oil are interested in selling on New Zealand’s market.
