site.btaBulgaria's Retail Trade Up 2.1% in September Y/Y

In September 2022, retail trade increased by 0.3% from a month earlier in all sectors except for Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles, according to preliminary and seasonally adjusted statistics released by the National Statistical Institute Thursday.

An increase is reported in retail trade in motor fuels and lubricants (0.8%), in food, beverages and tobacco (0.5%) and in non-food goods, excluding motor fuels and lubricants (0.3%).

The September turnover in retail trade grew by 2.1% compared with this time last year.

An increase is reported in retail trade of motor fuels and lubricants (8.8%) and non-food goods excluding motor fuels and lubricants (3.3%), while retail trade in food, beverages and tobacco saw a decrease (2.8%).
