site.btaEconomy and Industry Minister: Investments in Bulgarian Economy Topped BGN 18.4 Bln in 2021

Economy and Industry Minister Nikola Stoyanov said total investments in Bulgaria by local and foreign companies exceeded BGN 18.4 billion in 2021 and Bulgaria's GDP grew by 7.6% from 2020. Stoyanov announced these data at the presentation of the Mr and Mrs Economy Awards 2022 on Tuesday.

The Mr Economy Award went to Dimitar Tsotsorkov, Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Assarel-Medet JSC.

The Mrs Economy Award went to Motion Arts CEO Zarina Gencheva.

The awards were presented by Vice President Iliana Iotova and Nikola Stoyanov. E-Government Minister Georgi Todorov attended Tuesday's event.

The awards of the Economy magazine and the largest employer organization, the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIBG), were presented at Sofia Tech Park.

This was the 32nd edition of the Mr and Mrs Economy competition. The event is organized by CEIBG and the Economy magazine.
